Moments by Deja was born from a lifelong love of capturing the moments that matter.

As a little girl, I was always the one with a camera in my hand, documenting family gatherings, taking pictures of anything that caught my eye, and finding joy in preserving memories. In high school, a class project where I created a music video introduced me to another side of storytelling and sparked a passion for bringing moments to life through both photography and video.

That passion eventually led me to Alabama State University, where I studied Communications with a focus in Radio, Television & Film. During college, I gained hands-on experience in photography, video production, audio, and storytelling while working toward turning my creativity into a career.

After launching Moments by Deja professionally in 2020, my career in broadcast media took me from Montgomery to New Orleans and eventually Atlanta. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to work in newsrooms, shoot stories in the field, create digital content, and capture countless moments through my lens.

But today, I see this gift as more than a career or a creative skill. I believe God gave me the gift of storytelling for a greater purpose. What began as a passion for photography and videography has become another way for me to serve His people and contribute to His Kingdom. Whether I’m working in news, capturing someone’s special moment, or creating something that brings people together, I want to use what God has placed in me to tell stories with purpose, creativity, and intention.

Today, Moments by Deja is a reflection of everything I’ve learned along the way: storytelling, creativity, faith, and the importance of preserving a moment before it becomes a memory. Whether I’m capturing portraits, sports, celebrations, events, or the moments in between, my goal is simple: to create images that feel authentic to you and give you something you’ll want to look back on for years to come.
